With every
breeder, there occasionally are individuals that
despite how exceptional they might
be, just cannot be
utilized in his or her
breeding program, but may well be an asset
to someone else's program. Because for the most part, I am an advocate of line breeding, I do often have
terriers I simply cannot use, as they are too closely related to my
foundation stock.
Then, there are times when an outstanding puppy comes along, and the
temptation to have fun showing it for a season is just too great to resist. But
afterward, it
sometimes is best to let someone else enjoy......The terriers
offered on this page are
those individuals that I hold in high esteem,
and want
to see placed
according to each one's individual
abilities and potential |

Litter whelped
5-11-2011
(Otter x Sow's Ear Bella)
2 bitches 2 dogs
Seems like my sister isn't the only one
experiencing "oops" litters these days! However, this little faux pas
looks pretty good so far. Bella is a Bear x Red Riot daughter, and
Otter
is a Bear x Pretty grandson. Heads are so big they'll never be able to hold
them up, and there's enough bone for 3 litters. With this pedigree, wonder
if they'll hunt? Ha ha.
The fly in the ointment however, is this thing that surely must be the spawn
of a Holstein bull. I need to check into the distance from Kim & Mark's
house to the nearest dairy farm.....
Right now my plan is to keep at least one of the bitch pups.......with this
pedigree, maybe both if they end up with the Bear influence I think they'll
have. But for sure that bull calf is available---preferably to someone
with several pairs of sunglasses.
