In every way -
appearance, mannerism, personality, intelligence; this puppy is "Witchi"all
over again. When linebreeding, the most important rule is to start with 2 exceptional
individuals.
Bear &Revlonare exactly that, and
the result is a dog in which the type has been set. Baby Bear would be an excellent
choice for those tiny bitches, who need bone, substance, head and neck.
BabyBear's first
puppy was born in March. Windermere
Tippy of Lost Acres gave birth to her last puppy (she was spayed due to
her old age) by BabyBear. He is just incredible. Go to Disney'ssite and stay tuned
how he develops. He is obviously not leaving, being the last of the direct original

In Memory to BB-Bear, as he was called.
Text above is the original
introduction of this faboulous young dog. I chose to leave it.
Sometimes, a special dog comes
along......
BB came to live with me at
Lost Acres in order for him to mature, and not spend a cold NY
winter being a second
stud dog. Well, BB made himself at home among my two old bitches,
Tippy and Jazz, and kind of rounded off this household.
He had a wonderful year of growing up, playing ball, especially
with his new german human male friend,
who would spend hours and hours with him, throwing the BALL
(his favorite pasttime), bonding with every one and generally making
himself loved. The undoubted loyalness and devotion he gave to this
place will be forever missed.
This is a spot that never will be filled again, although he left one
legacy with Tippy, and that is
his only son Disney.
BB's ashes are going to buried under three Blue Spruce trees,
where one day everyone else at Lost Acres will join him.
BB died of cancer earlier
this year, and I have been avoiding writing about him. There
are too many stories I could tell, to many moments I wish I could
relive, but then I look at his only son......and I know he is still
with us.
Where do you go...the day we have to say goodbye....?

From
Sow's Ear
"Little Baby Bear".........
From the moment he was born, he was my Witchy
all over again. He looked like her, he acted like her, he even toed out in front
slightly
like her. Yet he was much like his father too. So, once again, I fell in love with
a male puppy!
Baby Bear was the love of my life; so spoiled, so focused, so loving. He would
absolutely drive you crazy with his stupid squeaky ball, and
it seemed like early mornings were the worst, before I had a chance to finish my first cup
of coffee and watch GMA. He was so
persistent!
As he grew, he followed in both his father's and grandmother's footsteps, showing well,
doing G-T-G well, and racing even better! He was running the lure back--just like
Bear--before he was 6 months old!
But, as he matured, Bear became aware of the fact that BB was no longer a puppy, but
another male dog. And although he always
tolerated his presence, he did start to "mark" his territory.......
So, as much as I loved Baby Bear, I loved his father even more, and one of them had to go.
It was so hard to let him go, but I knew he would be loved and treated even better with
Iris at Lost Acres and the two old coots, than he was here.
And he was. His brief time with us has left me with so many memories; and as
much as I wanted to bury him next to his grandmother, he
really belongs at Lost Acres, so one day he will once again be with Jazzie and
Tippy.
Another little white dog who left an indelible impression on so many lives.
