"Bear" is a powerful, yet
extremely narrow, flexible terrier with a tremendous head, dense bone, harsh coat and
strong, driving rear end. He is consistently passing on all these qualities along with his
long, elegant neck, intense hunting instincts and best of all, his sweet, loving
personality. His puppies are doing extremely well in both the hunt field and conformation
ring. At 8 years of age, Bear is virtually unchanged; he's still every bit as flexible, just as narrow, and with that same incredible rear end. And he's still performing as well as ever......as a sire, in the field, and on the racetrack. The value of consistency such as this is immeasurable. But far more importantly than anything he has achieved in the show ring or as a sire, is what this big old white Lakeland dog has been to me as a working terrier. I simply could not hunt without him! His consistency in the field is beyond description. He has always been my locater, my draw dog, my "other" lurcher......an irreplaceable hunting companion. Bear has his mother's nose, and that NEVER lets me down. He is just one of those dogs that has earned the respect of anyone and everyone who has ever had the pleasure of being in the field with him. They just don't come any better than Bear. Bear's offspring include:
